Meet FitWit Ginger

02 Oct

So, all of my super healthy habits just recently started after taking a 10 Day challenge to be super healthy and eat close to the earth.  I took the challenge with my husband and we lasted for over 30 days!!  It just changed my life and I haven’t been the same ever since –just ask any of the other FitWits!

The challenge was mostly a cleansing diet that reset my body to how it was really supposed to work.  Ever since, I have an amazing amount of energy and motivation and my body is incredibly optimized and regular – if you know what I mean! (my apologies if that’s TMI).  I feel GREAT!

Feeling great is really important because I have a very busy lifestyle that includes leading a business, playing with my 3 year old son, traveling a lot, keeping up with an enormous set of family activities and trying to stay sexy enough that my husband wants to practice having another baby!!!  I guess it just feels like a lot to balance sometimes, so my body needs to be ready to make anything happen at any time.  🙂  That is why it is super important for me to feel great as often as possible, so when this new way of eating made me feel so amazing I HAD to keep doing it!  Now I am hooked and I can’t wait to share it with you.

How much of your life would change if you felt GREAT most of the time?!?

Meet FitWit Matt

07 Sep

Howdy Interwebbers! Welcome to my introduction. As you read in the title, my name is Matt. To be candid, I probably don’t belong on a blog talking about being fit. See, I clock in at around 280 pounds. And it all started happening around the time I turned 30. I’m 34 now and have been slowly adding the poundage mainly because I’m not very physically active.  I sit in front of the computer all day and I enjoy watching television.  I find it to be my chance to sit down, relax and enter another world for a bit.  I’ve tried working out and I hate it.  I’ve heard people say that once you get into it, it’s addictive.  I’ve never reached that point.  I also have a pretty unhealthy diet.  My mentality says that it’s easier to run to Wendy’s or Taco Bell, eat and throw away wrappers than to prep dinner, cook it, eat it and then have to clean up.  And it also seems it’s more expensive to eat healthy.  Now, all that said, I’m turning over a new leaf. I’ve decided to cut out any restaurant that has a drive though, I’m planning on eating smaller portions and with more regularity and I’m going to fix up the old bike in the shed and start spending some time out of doors.  I plan on filling you in on the progress along the way.  Thanks for reading!

Meet FitWit Stephanie

01 Sep

There is nothing I fear more than an online ‘About Me’ section or introduction. I find it difficult to put myself into virtual words without sounding too showy or monotonous. I mean, no one is as perfect as his or hers ‘About Me’ or introduction sounds, but no one wants a sob story either. Well, Lifetime is still happening, so maybe I’m wrong. My name is Stephanie, by the way. Also the older (or what I like to call more wise) sister to blogging Sam. I’m a twenty year old, IU going, picture-taking, music listening, adventure going, book reading, bike riding young woman with a lot of dreams in her head but lacking the ability to sort through them properly at this time in my life. (That was a mouthful…brainful? Hm.) Luckily, I’m technically a sophomore, so I’m hoping to gain momentum and direction by the time graduation rolls around. I tend to be obnoxious, in the right ways if that’s possible, and my love for satire rarely goes below the surface. My family is one of my favorite things on this planet (next to the outdoors and cheese). Of course, our dysfunctionality can overlay everything else at times, but any Mom & Dad that can handle the estrogen over-load of 4 developing girls are quality in my book. Plus, we have the greatest pets ever. I’m going for the whole ‘live in the moment’ way of life, and I couldn’t be happier. Escaping my head and absorbing the world is much better.

I started working for America’s Nutrition way back when in the dark ages of December ’07. You couldn’t have paid me, fortunately they still are ;), to believe that I would still be working for tremendous people while attending college in Bloomington three years later. What a ride. Meet FitWit Sam

24 Aug

Why hello there internet, my name is Sam. I am your pretty typical teenage girl. I struggle with many things including: school, family, friends, work, and myself. I had a huge downfall in the fall of 2009, and had a pretty difficult time taking care of myself. I went from binge eating, to hardly ever eating at all. I managed to lose about 40 pounds in 2 ½ months through starvation. It wasn’t until I began my job at Bottled Fitness I realized that what I was doing was completely inappropriate. Sure I was losing weight, but I had many consequences along the way. Over the next few weeks I am going to continue to write about my hard times dealing with many insecurities, and how I was able to overcome them and rebuild myself in a healthy way.

Meet FitWit Cheryl

23 Aug

Ok, so I’m not very good with introductions.  They can be kind of awkward, right?  I don’t really know anyone who likes getting the “So, tell me about yourself” question.  I guess I will start with my name, which is Cheryl and the fact that I am pretty excited to start blogging!

I wanted to start blogging and sharing pieces of my life with all of you as I embark on this journey through a weird stage in my life.  I just finished grad school and I am now trying to figure out what life is like without school.  I have been doing that whole school thing for so long that I don’t know what to do with my new found freedom (aka weekends).  Because I was so busy (and completely stressed) with school and work I wasn’t very kind to myself (or others), but I am trying to get back into the swing of things with a new healthier life style.  It may be a slow process, but I’m excited to start! Meet FitWit Zach

23 Aug

My name is Zach, though to pretty much everyone else, I’m known as ‘Creatch,’ which is actually short for ‘Creature’…which usually never hesitates to raise a few eyebrows. At the ripe age of twenty-two, it wasn’t until January 2009 that I decided to really make the effort of healthy living, including a better diet and exercising regularly. It was right around this time that I joined the Bottled Fitness family. Though my decision for a better lifestyle was made before I became a part of the team, it has greatly aided me in my recent 20-month long journey. While not being berated by irate customers or lugging 60-lb boxes up and down a flight of stairs, I enjoy spending time with my friends and visiting those that went away to college, expanding my music collection digitally and through vinyl, and seeing my favorite bands, typically in Chicago, but I also love to travel when I can (for shows & festivals, as well as pleasure). I’m honest, sarcastic, and find great joy in awkward situations, as well as the ‘little things in life.’ I look forward to sharing my dynamic approach to life, as well as hope that you can open your thoughts to whatever may spew out of my mouth (or keyboard) through this blog.

Meet FitWit Tony

23 Aug

Hey everyone! Well, let’s start with the basics. My name is Tony, I am starting my senior year of college tomorrow (which is extremely exciting), I work at UPS every morning, and I began working at America’s Nutrition at the beginning of summer (as an internship) and will continue to on Fridays during school. I am an Accounting and Finance major, which does sound boring, but I don’t really think of myself as a boring person. I’m very easy going and try to get along with just about everyone. I honestly believe that I can play any sport and enjoy it, and since working at America’s Nutrition I have even began running a few times a week, which you may have to hear about in later blog posts. Pretty much, I’ve become addicted which is easy to do when I see results from it. For the longest time, I always would say, I hate running unless I was doing it for a sport, but running just to run made no sense; well my attitude has definitely changed on that. I have lost 70 pounds from running and eating healthy since the beginning of the year and I think that starting the internship here was a blessing because it has gotten me more interested in my own health and nutrition. Well, I’ll touch on some of these topics plus more about me in later posts. Until then, take it easy.
