Howdy Interwebbers! Welcome to my introduction. As you read in the title, my name is Matt. To be candid, I probably don’t belong on a blog talking about being fit. See, I clock in at around 280 pounds. And it all started happening around the time I turned 30. I’m 34 now and have been slowly adding the poundage mainly because I’m not very physically active. I sit in front of the computer all day and I enjoy watching television. I find it to be my chance to sit down, relax and enter another world for a bit. I’ve tried working out and I hate it. I’ve heard people say that once you get into it, it’s addictive. I’ve never reached that point. I also have a pretty unhealthy diet. My mentality says that it’s easier to run to Wendy’s or Taco Bell, eat and throw away wrappers than to prep dinner, cook it, eat it and then have to clean up. And it also seems it’s more expensive to eat healthy. Now, all that said, I’m turning over a new leaf. I’ve decided to cut out any restaurant that has a drive though, I’m planning on eating smaller portions and with more regularity and I’m going to fix up the old bike in the shed and start spending some time out of doors.
